Giving defenders an unfair advantage.

An active cyber defence system, pre-built and ready to deploy.

Where intelligence and behavioural science meet to find, disrupt and deter new and existing cyber threats in real-time, across the entire enterprise.

Deliberately different.

The Liarbird Platform delivers active cyber defence as a single system that coordinates defensive actions across multiple sensors and environments – cloud, on-premises and hybrid networks.

For the defender, this approach cuts costs and complexity while outperforming traditional approaches.

For the attacker, Liarbird introduces cost and complexity, making their job harder and ruining their day.

Who is Liarbird for?

Let’s face it, reactive cyber defence is not doing enough to protect us.
It places too much onus on the customer and allows no margin for error.
As system operators and defenders, we’ve built something that works to protect you, regardless of what your environment looks like:

Critical Infrastructure providers running legacy or safety-critical technology where downtime, upgrades, or patches aren’t straightforward

Enterprises with large and complex environments, where it only takes one misconfiguration to create an opportunity for attackers

Industries that are constantly attacked day-in-and-day-out who have had enough and want to do more to defend themselves

IT service providers that want to support their customers immediately in a suspected breach in a cost and time-efficient way

What is 'Active Cyber Defence'?

We’re so glad you asked. Active cyber defence is a powerful approach for harnessing modern cybersecurity technology to counter increasingly capable cyber adversaries and AI-powered attack tools.
We have a lot of thoughts on this, and it’s too much for a FAQ section, so please head here for more.

Does Liarbird provide Managed Detection and Response services?

A Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider is someone you outsource your threat detection, investigation, and response to. Their services often include licenses for a range of security products. They employ security experts to integrate, configure and monitor those tools and respond to suspicious events, usually 24/7.

Think of ‘MDR’ as a traditional enterprise approach, outsourced to external detection and response to experts.

While Liarbird provides many of the same benefits as MDR, our approach is completely different. To see how, book a demo.

So Liarbird combines the benefits of multiple security tools, are you an integrator?

No. Integrators combine and deploy the commercial tools of others, in a single cohesive solution. This approach can have a lot of benefits – tool integration is a major pain point for a lot of security teams. But that’s not us.

Liarbird is not a reseller or integrator of other commercial cyber security products. Our solution is different. To see how, book a demo.

Is Liarbird the only security solution I need?

Liarbird is a cyber defence solution. Its job is to stop attacks.

Whether you require additional security tools will depend on your organisation and your needs. For example, Liarbird can help with compliance reporting, but it isn’t a “compliance solution”. It can help with patch management requirements, but it isn’t a “patch manager”. It can identify important vulnerabilities in your network, but it isn’t a dedicated “vulnerability scanner”.

Some organisations and some industries may also have board or regulatory requirements, requiring them to use specific traditional cyber security solutions (like a vulnerability scanner). While this probably isn’t great policymaking, it is a reality for some organisations.

Liarbird can do a lot of things. But as far as we know, no all-in-one cyber security tool exists and we certainly don’t claim to be one.

If in doubt, reach out to discuss where Liarbird might fit in with your needs.

Can't I just build my own active cyber defence platform?

Yes!!

If you or your team has expertise in areas like in software development, network engineering, detection engineering, behavioural science, cyber deception, data science and/or AI engineering – you can absolutely build your own active cyber defence platform.

If you have created your own system, we’d love to collaborate, please reach out.
