Uncomplicated cyber
security in one platform

Defend every device, every connection, all the time.

Why Liarbird?

Most security tools do one thing: They might do endpoint protection, block bad network connections or help with analysing security logs. A decent level of protection usually involves dozens of these solutions.

If this sounds complex and expensive, that’s because it is. Dozens of tools to tune and maintain, each with their own dashboard and logic, and tens-of-thousands of alerts to deal with each month.

Liarbird is a new approach.

One product that protects your whole ecosystem. It controls access, monitors, analyses and acts to protect your networks, endpoints and cloud apps, every minute of every day.

One install. One price. Full coverage.

What is 'Proactive Cyber Defence'?

We’re so glad you asked. Proactive cyber defence is a powerful approach for harnessing modern cybersecurity technology to deal with ever more capable cyber adversaries and AI-powered attack tools.
We have a lot of thoughts on this, and it’s too much for a FAQ section, so please head here for more.

Are you saying I shouldn't use an EDR?

Nooooo, not at all. We love Endpoint Detection and Response tools. The best EDR tools do an excellent job of protecting endpoints. What we don’t recommend is relying on EDR alone.

Don’t take our word for it, the best EDR vendors will tell you the same thing.

EDR needs to be part of a broader defence-in-depth approach, usually including: identity and access management, zero trust architecture, threat intelligence, network detection and response, DNS and IP filtering,  data collection/normalisation/enrichment, threat detection/investigation, ongoing monitoring and incident response.

If that sounds hard, it’s because it is. That is why very few organisations ever achieve this ‘minimum standard’, and many end up relying on one or two isolated security solutions, leaving them exposed.

Does Liarbird provide Managed Detection and Response services?

A Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider is someone you outsource your threat detection, investigation, and response to. Their services often include licenses for a range of security products. They employ security experts to integrate, configure and monitor those tools and respond to suspicious events, usually 24/7.

Think of ‘MDR’ as a traditional enterprise approach, outsourced to external detection and response to experts.

While Liarbird provides many of the same benefits as MDR, our approach is completely different. To see how, book a demo.

So Liarbird combines the benefits of multiple security tools, are you an integrator?

No. Integrators combine and deploy the commercial tools of others, in a single cohesive solution. This approach can have a lot of benefits – tool integration is a major pain point for a lot of security teams. But that’s not us.

Liarbird is not a reseller or integrator of other commercial cyber security products. Our solution is different. To see how, book a demo.

Is Liarbird the only security solution I need?

Liarbird is a cyber defence solution. Its job is to stop attacks.

Whether you require additional security tools will depend on your organisation and your needs. For example, Liarbird can help with compliance reporting, but it isn’t a “compliance solution”. It can help with patch management requirements, but it isn’t a “patch manager”. It can identify important vulnerabilities in your network, but it isn’t a dedicated “vulnerability scanner”.

Some organisations and some industries may also have board or regulatory requirements, requiring them to use specific traditional cyber security solutions (like a vulnerability scanner). While this probably isn’t great policymaking, it is a reality for some organisations.

Liarbird can do a lot of things. But as far as we know, no all-in-one cyber security tool exists and we certainly don’t claim to be one.

If in doubt, reach out to discuss where Liarbird might fit in with your needs.

Is Liarbird available globally?

Liarbird was launched in Australia and over time we will make Liarbird available in more regions around the world. If you are outside of Australia and you are interested in using Liarbird, please get in touch.

Can't I just build my own proactive cyber defence platform?

Yes!!

If you or your team has expertise in areas like in software development, network engineering, detection engineering, behavioural science, cyber deception, data science and/or AI engineering – you can absolutely build your own proactive cyber defence platform.

If you have created your own system, we’d love to collaborate, please reach out.
